We offer free legal advice and support to adult prisoners throughout England and Wales, regarding their legal, human and healthcare rights, conditions of imprisonment and the application of Prison Law and Prison Rules. We can also advise women prisoners on matters of Family Law, and those prisoners with issues relating to detention or deportation on Immigration Law.
Each year, the service sends out 9,000 letters, receives 30,794 phone calls, informs 30,900 prisoners through our publications, and delivers 116 1:1 sessions with prisoners.
