There is no ‘one size fits all’ for a crisis and they can take many forms. Patients may have thoughts about suicide, be thinking about or actively self-harming, or feel like they have any other mental health emergency. Patients may already be accessing support from one of our services. If so, they should contact their care coordinator straight away.
For urgent help, call the Single Point of Access on 01472 256256 (option 3) to speak to the crisis team.
Also ‘walk in’ to Harrison House on Peaks Lane in Grimsby.
If in immediate physical danger or have a medical emergency, advise to call 999 now.
We’ve also teamed up with Shout 85258 to provide specialist mental health text support for North East Lincolnshire. Just text ORANGE to 85258. This is also a 24/7 service (please note: this service is run by Shout and not by the NAViGO crisis team).

Suitable for anyone struggling, before or during a crisis, offering listening and support to people and communities in times of need.

Mind – Safespace Crisis Cafe

For patients feeling low in the evenings, they can drop into Safespace and speak to fully trained mental health professionals who will help them manage their wellbeing.
Or, if they would rather stay at home, they can contact Safespace using Zoom between Monday – Friday, 5.30pm – 11pm.
It’s a judgement-free zone who welcome those who are in need – whether that be due to loneliness, isolation or emotional vulnerability. There’s no need to call ahead – just drop in.

We provide support to people who are in crisis due to their mental health. We also provide information on mental health issues, signposting and emotional support.

Patients must be at least 16 yrs old and registered with a GP in North East Lincolnshire.
After the form has been processed, patients will be given an appointment with a clinician to talk about the problems they are experiencing and ways of coping for the future.

Suitable for veterans and their families in the local community. Provides emotional, practical and financial help. You can also talk with an advisor online in less than 2 mins with the live chat service.
Mind – Together
Suitable for those who have been bereaved by suicide.

Kooth – Young Adults Online Platform
Available to young people 11 yrs – 25 yrs.
Kooth is a FREE, anonymous online counselling and emotional wellbeing service, which can be accessed using a computer, smartphone or tablet device. Kooth offers:
- A live chat function so young people can contact a qualified counsellor
- Scheduled and drop-in counselling sessions available all year round (including evenings and weekends)
- Chat forums with other young people
- Crisis information
- Self-help resources

Mild-to-moderate emotional health and mental health wellbeing needs. Low intensity 1:1 interventions (approx. 6 – 8 sessions based on individual need).
Accepting self-referrals into Compass GO from both parent/carer and child/young person.

NAViGO – Intervention in Psychosis & Transitions
Referral coordinators are available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
Available for patients between 14 yrs – 35 yrs and are at risk of – or experiencing psychosis.
The Early Intervention in Psychosis and Transitions (EIT) service provide specialist personal care to young people who are at risk of, or experiencing, their first episode of psychosis.
Also offer support to young people making the transition from child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) to adult mental health services, regardless of diagnosis.
