How to get urgent help

• Call us first. Our crisis support team is available 24/7 at (01472) 256256 (option 3). Or you can NHS 111. Reaching out by phone first helps us provide the fastest and most effective support to meet your needs.
• If you believe you are in a mental health crisis and in need of immediate help, support is available at Harrison House on Peaks Lane in Grimsby.
• If you’re in immediate physical danger or have a medical emergency, call 999 now.
• You can also text ORANGE to 85258 to start an SMS conversation. This is also a 24/7 service. Please note: Shout run and staff this service, and not the Navigo crisis team.

Criteria:  Available in North East Lincolnshire, to anyone aged 16 years and over.

 

We provide support to people who are in crisis due to their mental health. We also provide information on mental health issues, signposting and emotional support.

We offer talking therapies, like cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling and guided self-help, as well as help for common mental health problems, like anxiety and depression

Mind – Safespace Café  


NAViGO Coffee House on Brighowgate in Grimsby

For patients feeling low in the evenings, they can drop into Safespace and speak to fully trained mental health professionals who will help them manage their wellbeing. Or, if they would rather stay at home, they can contact Safespace using Zoom between 5.30pm and 11pm, Monday to Friday. It’s a judgement-free zone who welcome those who are in need – whether that be due to loneliness, isolation or emotional vulnerability. There’s no need to call ahead – just drop in.

NAViGO – Young Minds Matter – CAMHs

If in a mental health crisis and need urgent help, call the advice line or if out of hours call Single Point of Access.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, or CAMHS, provides a range of comprehensive and multi-disciplinary community-based mental health and emotional wellbeing services for children and young people in North East Lincolnshire.
The service is made up of highly skilled and experienced staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, group workers and practitioners.
The service also includes employed peer support workers with lived experience of mental health and emotional wellbeing challenges to aid and support our service users.

Criteria:  Available to young people aged 11 to 25 years

 

Kooth is a free, anonymous online counselling and emotional wellbeing service which can be accessed using a computer, smartphone or tablet device. Kooth offers:

  • Scheduled and drop-in online counselling sessions available all year round (including evenings and weekends).

NAViGO – Early Intervention in Psychosis & Transitions

Criteria: Individuals between the ages of 14 and 35 who are at risk of, or experiencing, their first episode of psychosis

 

The Early Intervention in Psychosis and Transitions (EIT) service provide specialist personal care to young people who are at risk of, or experiencing, their first episode of psychosis.

 

Also offer support to young people making the transition from child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) to adult mental health services, regardless of diagnosis.

Compass Go

Criteria: Child or young person 5-19 years on waiting lists for mental health support.

Can receive links to videos and resources, these are sent out by practitioners and cannot be accessed independently.

Health Captains/Hull CVS

Criteria: 18 years and over with a long term health condition.

For those living with long-term health conditions in North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire

Our support can benefit those:
• Who have had a recent hospital stay
• May be struggling to manage their health condition
• May be lonely or feel isolated

Creating Positive Opportunity

Criteria: 18 years and over. 

Group Support: We can support people to get online to complete digital forms for benefit appeals, making a plea, making or responding to a small money claim, apply for help with justice fees, apply for a probate of an estate and applying or responding to a divorce.

 

Criteria: 16 years and over. 

Creating Better Opportunities is designed for unemployed adults, to help improve their life prospects, confidence and wellbeing. Support is offered in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis, depending on the needs of the client. Counselling can be provided.

 

Criteria: 11 years and over. 

Educational support for children out of education who have an EHCP. Bespoke packages of learning according to student need

 

Criteria: 7 years and over. 

Psychotherapy – all clients on CPO projects are eligible for support from our in-house counsellor
