Sunflowers Children's Action

Sunflowers Children’s Action group is a small, registered charity, run by volunteers, to create special, inclusive events for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families.

We aim to make a difference to the loves of our families by creating precious memories to last a lifetime. While many of our children may appear in good health, each faces some form of battle against their medical conditions. For some, these battles, no matter how bravely born, will lead to shortened lives. Our family events can reduce social isolation, improve mental health, improve physical health, increase support and create memories through a whole-family holistic approach.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. We’re here for anyone diagnosed with cancer aged 13 – 24, and their loved ones too. Without us, a young person diagnosed with cancer today would find themselves lumped together with small children or much older adults.

We provide the sensitive individual care and support young people need at the toughest and scariest time they’ve ever faces – so they can get through cancer, rebuild their life and shape their own future. We offer unique care and support, designed for and with young people. We fund specialist nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout treatment. We run events for young people with cancer to help them regain independence and meet other young people going through something similar.

And we provide easy-to-understand information about every aspect of living with cancer as a young person.
