Contact

For every shape and size of family, whatever they need and whatever their child’s disability, we’re here. We run a free advice and information helpline for parents and carers with disabled children from birth – 25 yrs, living in any part of the UK.

There is a desperate lack of services and support for the 620,000 parents in the UK who care for a disabled child. As a result, families face a huge range of challenges and many feel isolated and alone. Coping with extra financial costs and practical challenges can put an enormous strain on daily life, with families more likely to face emotional issues, stress and anxiety.

Doorstep

Provision of accommodation and support to young people and young families, aged 16 to 25 years old, who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing poor housing within North East Lincolnshire. We offer various types of support including:

  • Floating support (offered to young people in their own homes/it comes as a part of the tenancy or licences in our supported housing. It is person-centred support delivered to prevent homelessness and you do not need to be living in one of our properties to receive it. Floating support is delivered by our asset coaches and is also known as housing related support (HRS).).
  • Supported housing/General needs (designed for those young people who need extra help in managing a tenancy and are described as having support needs. Referrals for this housing come through the homeless prevention service at the local council).

While you are in supported housing you will have an asset coach who will deliver the support that you need. They work alongside you to develop your confidence, resilience and independence so that you can manage a tenancy on your own.
